Kambi ya Nyasa Parish 

The Parish

The pastor is Rev.Rev. Mariamu Suki. The parish has three churches -  Kambi ya Nyasa A, Kambi ya Nyasa B and Chambogo. 
The catechists are:

Kambi ya Nyasa B - Cat. Sophia Petro Hobe

We were delighted to welcome Rev'd Canon Lilian Gaula to preside at the wedding of Pascal and Neema in June 2024. Not only was this a wonderful day for the happy couple but it also marked the first wedding in the Diocese to be led by a woman priest.
 

Community development

The parish took part in the Church and Community Mobilization Programme (CCMP) between 2023-2025.. As the church and community worked through the process, they decided which activities would bring about the most effective and positive outcomes for them, given their current situations.

Church members have been improving their church building – plastering the walls. laying floors and improving doors and windows and installing new wiring as well as purchasing new chairs.

Once the church shared the training with the community, new economic activities started in agriculture and animal husbandry. Three savings and credit groups have been formed, which are helping people to save money together and invest in their immediate needs and longer-term initiatives.

Below are the chairs, purchased by church members, to improve the inside of the church.
