Compassion works in partnership with the Diocese in providing resources, training and expertise to assist in the operation of its holistic child development programme in Kondoa. Its aim is to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
Approximately 200 children of all faiths attend Compassion every Saturday morning. The majority of children are Muslim, which is a simple reflection of the population in Kondoa.
The children are provided with uniforms to wear and a meal. They also receive some education and are given an opportunity to learn about Jesus and discover how to develop a lifelong relationship with God.
Compassion encourages overseas sponsors for each child. This allows the child’s needs to be met while he or she remains living with their family. If you want to sponsor Compassion please contact the diocese.
