Farkwa Parish 

The pastor is Rev.Yohana Chizuwa. The parish includes three churches at Farkwa, Misri and Gonga, where the catechist is Yusufu Juma.

Community Development

Since 2018, St James Church has been funding the Church and Community Mobilization Programme (CCMP) in the diocese. Seventeen parishes have taken part so far. From 2026 to 2028, Farkwa is one of nine new parishes to participate. 

The training is organized by the Department of Development. Three facilitators from the parish will take part in a series of workshops including Bible studies, community relationship building, resource mobilization, the formation and management of savings and credit groups, data collection, analysis and decision-making, social awareness, climate-smart agriculture and environmental conservation. These facilitators will put the training into practice in their churches and and work on development projects that will benefit the entire community.
