The Parish

The pastor is Rev. Wilson Saki, pictured below with catechists from the parish.

There are two churches in the parish where the catechists are as follows.
St Paul's - Cat: Stephano Makonha 

St Peter's: Cat: John S Mkwayi. 

 

The parish experienced severe flooding in 2008.  Since then, the parish has planted flood-tolerant sugar cane, near to the church for flood resilience. These pictures of the crop were taken in April 2024.

Parish link

During July 2019, Mrijo Parish was linked with the parish of Christchurch, Chislehurst in the UK Diocese of Rochester. The parish link was established during a visit from the vicar of Christchurch, Rev Dave Johnston and his wife, Cath, and the UK Diocese of Rochester visited the parish in April 2024.
