Prayers for Peter Akester and family

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the death of Chris Akester on Saturday 4 January 2020. Rev Peter Akester and Chris had a long history serving with CMS New Zealand and for the three years until their retirement in 2018 had been leading the Theological College in Kondoa very successfully. They both had such a heart for Kondoa and for Tanzania.

Shortly after their retirement, Chris was diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease.  She has been sending brave and upifting newsletters despite her daily struggles.

We all have such wonderful memories of this good and faithful woman. Please pray for Peter and their daughters Pendo and Sarah, that they might have the strengh they need at this difficult time and know God's presence, his comfort and hs love.
